I’m on Day 2 of a binge. I was doing good. 20 pounds down since September doing 16:8. Woke up yesterday ravenous. What to do?
I like to remind myself that hunger is temporary and the feeling will pass. Still, I pay attention to my body’s messages. If I’m ravenous, I’ll set a timer for an hour. If I’m still ungodly hungry after that hour then I’ll break my fast early. If I feel any symptoms like lightheaded-ness I break my fast right away.
I fast 10-2 every day and sometimes, for no apparent reason, I’m starving so I just eat a lot more during my eating window. Then I worry that the scale won’t look good the next day but that’s never the case. If you’re so hungry, eat. Your body may need it. Every time this happens to me, the next day I’m not hungry like that anymore. The longer you fast, the more you’ll figure out.
