Revolution Nutrition Amino Spiking?

Does anyone have any experience with Revolution Nutrition? They have been my go-to protein powder for some time due to it being the cheapest I can find (in Canada) and good taste. Recently, I came across some videos on TikTok that accused Revolution of amino spiking their protein powders and in actuality only providing 10-15g of protein as opposed to the listed serving on the nutritional label. However, there was no source or testing results that I could find online to back up those claims. What do you think? Does anyone have evidence from testing and working with Revolution protein powders? Information is appreciated! Thanks.

Answer

A lot of protein powders spike their protein with glutamine so that they can say that a serving has a certain amount of protein. If the product has a label listing the different amino acids and the amount per serving, it will show you if it is spiked or not. However, the only way to know with certainty that the label is honest or not, is if the brand is third party tested. I’m not sure about Canada, but in the US this would be NSF certified or cGMP at minimum. A good protein powder to buy would be whey protein since they naturally already have the optimal protein ratios and more of the essential amino acids than other forms of protein
