Great varied buddies.

Even if you guys fall off the wagon - don’t be shy or embarrassed. Nothing but love and encouragement here. Water fasts are hard. 1 day is hard. 3 days is hard. 1 week is very hard. Anything beyond that involves rare mental toughness so if you find you are struggling watch videos and read books on all the benifits of what you are doing. I reccomend Rhonda Patrick

Remember:

Mind = tool for moving towards pleasure and avoiding pain

You = the consciousness that listens to your thoughts.

Problem = identication with the mind / ego. Why? If you identify with the tool then you are never present. You always think in terms of avoiding pain and desiring something different. You miss the experiential moment.

Goal = identify with the consciousness not the mind

How = Meditate. Watch the thoughts. Step back from them and observe.

Why? = Over time your mind may become quiet and you may experience a completely new appreciation for life as it is. This peaceful place can then be what you identify with rather than the tool that your mind is. You can then control your mind and use it to direct yourself more consciously towards your goals.

The mind is a wonderful servant, but a terrible master.

Day 1.

So I had diarrhea all day yesterday. Funny thing is that it made the fast easy! 34 hours in now. Sinus all cleared up. Mental fog lifted. More positive mood this morning. I think this week will be the first time I find fasting a breeze. It’s about my 5th fast now and so I know what to expect and that I can do it. Week 2 will be interesting.

Keep it up guys :)

How are you all doing?

Morning of Day 3. All my aches and pains are gone. Feeling more relaxed and balanced. I am sure cravings will arrise during the day, but so far this has been my easiest 2 days of fasting to date.

Initial weight on Monday night after my last meal at 9pm was 88kg. Now all that is out of my system, I am 85kg. I dont think I have lost any fat or muscle yet, so 85kg must be my flushed out actual weight.

I’ll stop when I get to about 75kg or so I think, but I am gonna play it by ear and see how I am feeling.
