Speeding up autophagy and benefits?

Most sources about dry fasting suggest that it’s important to rest. I’m curious about how not resting and instead doing exercise, sauna, etc could accelerate autophagy and other benefits. Could you receive the same benefits of a 5 day dry fast in 3 if you made the 3 days more intense?

August Dunning of Phoenix Protocol, suggests that on a dry fast your body is in repair mode, and should not be taxed anymore than walking. The idea is you want to put your system into such rest, that it gets working on those long time problems.

If you go and hit the weights and saunas, you may be drastically cutting into what is supposed to be a recovery rebuilding process.

No, you’ll never get a 3 day dry to equal a 5 day dry. The disparity is too great.

3 day hard dry with exercise - and you’re going pass the human bodies threshold. Although, you still have good energy. And it really shouldn’t effect you health wise. But, it’s not fast enough to make up 48 hours of processing the system goes through to reach a 5 day dry. And most people that try find out all it does is cut the fast short. The body has its limits in how fast it goes through its ritual process in shifting over to self eating.

The faster way is hard dry. The fastest is hard dry in warmer climate and that is reaching the edge of the system’s threshold. Hard dry in a warmer climate can be maintained even for 7 days or more if you’re already trained for it. But, we’re talking like 75-78 degrees. Anymore and your going pass the threshold. Anytime you pass that threshold you start drawing on your vital life force. The system will start shutting down. This is all in the deeper fast though 5-7 days. For some people depending healthwise can be sooner.

Hard dry and exercise and you’ll quickly start drawing on your vital life force if the fast is pass 3 days long.

Hard dry + exercise = Hard dry x 0.1,0.2…it’s insignificant. The difference becomes greater if you actually stick with moderate exercise for 8+ hours straight. Even with all that you’ll still gain so little. 3 days = 3.1 - 3.2 days.

3 day to equal 5 day. You just can’t get that to happen the body has its limits.

The processes at work in autophagy are more time-based than not. People want to start in ketosis and burn through all their muscle glycogen to get an edge but I’ve read no indication that this actually hastens autophagy. Your body doesn’t merely want to run on fat before it starts to re-purpose dead and senescent protein. It wants to see that it has been running on its own endogenous fat and water supply for several days.
