Hi all, I’m new to IF and doing well but can not for the life of me give up my coffee with like 4 tablespoons of liquid flavored creamer. What would be a better option? I can’t do black coffee.
Switch to sugar-free flavored creamer (less insulin impact). Or switch to one tablespoon of heavy cream, no sweetener (even less insulin impact). Both of these are still considered “dirty fasting,” but they are much better than using 4 tablespoons of regular sugary flavored creamer.
Or try cold-brew coffee. It is much less bitter than regular, which makes it much easier to drink black. It’s super easy to make at home. Just mix ground coffee with cold water in a jar or pitcher, let it steep on the countertop for 8-24 hours, then pour through a strainer into a glass over ice. (If you have a French press, steep it in there — built-in strainer.)
