Anyone fasting post-Thanksgiving?

I’ve been eating healthy (with occasional 2-3 days fasts) for quite a few months and Thanksgiving threw me totally off. My fingers were swollen, my whole body felt bloated, and I had horrible stomachaches from eating too much (I have three families I have to see over the course of the holiday and they all expect me to eat a full meal), and I also went out to eat twice in 24 hours. Started fasting Sunday night and am gonna see if I can’t go for at least a 72 hour, but my minimum goal is 48 hours.

Yep, just started a 7 day fast on Sunday evening after a long Thanksgiving week with tons of over-eating, lol

I’ve never gone 7 days before but I’m feeling motivated! (at least right now while writing this, not sure how I’ll feel in a few days). I’ve done a 5-day before and several 2-3 day fasts at least

I fasted 24hrs before the festivities and also exercised. I didn’t stuff myself when it came time to eat either. I felt really good, but only had some upset stomach the day later due to all the carbs. So in my experience it was helpful to fast before. I haven’t tried fasting after though.

48 hours is a bit much for me. Best I’ve done is 36. Like most of us, my routine diet was completely demolished over the past week. I usually fast for 20 hours, 6 days a week. Started back up with it yesterday but the hunger is more noticeable after such abundant eating. Good luck getting back to it.

I gained about 9 lbs in 2 days, lol. Started a fast Sunday night and down 7 as of this morning (hour 40). Going until Friday on a 5 day fast so hopefully will drop well below where I started pre Thanksgiving.

Next time smoke some weed before dinner. That’ll help you not hurt yourself eating because it makes you hungry, and reduces pain. Works for me when I gotta eat like after working out I have a little weed.
