Black coffee

Looking for recommendations…what kind/brand of coffee do you like to drink black? I want to get away from sweetening my coffee but we have dark roast and I just don’t like it without anything in it.

Answer

I completely understand, coffee with my cream and sweetener is the one thing I wasn’t willing to give up so I still indulge. I tried drinking it black, with sugar free cream, keto cream, sugar free hazelnut syrup. Nothing compared.

Answer

Try a light or medium roast. I like gevalia k cups just fine, but mainly because I often find them on sale on Amazon. And stay far away from any flavored coffees. Most that I tried taste like absolute ass without creamer or sweetener.

I learned to drink black coffee a long time ago. I just started using a little less sugar every day and when I got used to that applied the same technique with cream. For health reasons I then had to switch to decaf. The coffee itself no longer matters to me. I no longer like it sweetened at all. It may take you a little time, but you can do it.

Answer

Your taste buds can acclimate. I kind of slowly transitioned over a couple months… For the first week or two I was still having coffee with almond milk and monk fruit sweetener. Then I cut the monk fruit sweetener and was just having a splash of almond milk in it. Then after a couple months I switched to black with a splash of water and a few granules of salt. I was skeptical of the salt but it does make the coffee smoother. I have been drinking coffee daily since age 10 but never thought I could tolerate it black, but it’s not bad after acclimating. I drink awful coffee tbh, maxwell house or something since I share a pot with my mom every morning and she’s always up before me. I really should talk to her, offer to buy us better coffee.
