Why an Endo, are you diabetic? If he is knowledgeable he will tell your parents that it causes no harm to skip breakfast or any other meal from time to time. Of course this depends on your physique and general health. Are you thin or overweight?
In the meantime, show them where the saying “Breakfast is the most important meal of the day” comes from. Show them that someone came up with it to sell more cereal for monetary gain, not to improve the health of anyone. The same can be said about most food products from companies in the US whose sole focus is to make money. That’s another story however.
Hey there, I’m a doc and this is not medical advice.
I have a couple questions for you. Do you really skip breakfast? In the English language, breakfast is the first meal that breaks that fast from the previous night. For most people, it is usually in the morning.
I do agree that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. When that occurs is a different matter all together. Personally for me, I tend to have my first meal around noon (my breakfast). This is usually my most important meal and my largest meal of the day. I practice IF.
What test are you referring to? If they are going to be drawing blood, it is better to be in a fasted state. You may be asked to come to the lab another day when you are fasting. This also depends on what disease or organs they want to look at.
