Does cold brew with 0 cals and carbs exist?

This morning I woke up SO EXCITED because yesterday I found the Starbucks cold brew concentrate while grocery shopping. I love cold brew because I can drink it with a straw, prefer the taste and I live in a hot, muggy climate. Anyway—

Imagine my horror when I flip the box of Starbucks cold brew concentrate and see 2 g carbs, 15 calories, 1g protein.

In everything I’ve read and watched on IF no one ever said no iced coffee! I assumed (I know, I know) cold brew was perfectly fine as long as it’s black.

So - Are there any fast-approved cold brew options or do I just need to get over it?

Okay, part two of the question — Instead of buying cold brew concentrate (like I did to treat myself yesterday) I typically make a pot of coffee, let it cool in a glass carafe and put it in the fridge for drinking over the next 1-2 days.

I know it’s not glamorous and the coffee snobs are gagging BUT this doesn’t break a fast, right?

Answer

I simply mix ground coffee and cold water in a French press for 12 hours or so, and eventually press/strain it. I add nothing and it’s still considered black coffee for fasting purposes. It’s easy and delicious when it’s warm out.

Answer

Starbucks cold brew was the only thing that got me through my mornings. I could go all day without eating after drinking some black cold brew. Now it has disappeared from the shelves. I saw the concentrate but was not nearly as excited about it. I really hope they are bringing back the medium roast cold brew because im struggling over here. Lol

Answer

I make 3 pods of coffee with a keurig. (All decaf because that a lot of coffee). I let it cool, put in the fridge and add a couple packets of stevia in the morning. Dr Stephen Cabral says stevia will not break a fast. Check out his podcasts and also on insta

Answer

It doesn’t but you don’t need to MAKE it - ie no boiling water. 72 Grams of coffee to 500ml of water in a cafetière, then plunge and pour into another container after 12 hours. Drink it 50% diluted as it’s wildly strong.
