0 calorie water fast vs 100 cal a day vs 500 cal a day

is there a difference? Its not for religious reasons. I just want to try it bc I can lose weight and maybe reset my cravings for food when Im stressed. And maybe reduce inflammation. Im on day 4 of a water fast and Im being a little bitch. A family is cooking bbq outside and I am in WW3 with my brain. Will eating tiny calories each day when I feel the most hungry disrupt anything? Will this hunger continue past day 4/5? I planned for 2 weeks of 0 calorie.

maybe a chicken thigh or a bowl of chopped veggies w/a spice rub etc?

I was thinking a simple chicken broth with salt, ginger, tumeric, strain all the veggies/chicken out and just sip the broth. is this ok?

Im also aware of going verrrrrry ez when breaking the fast so we can skip that in your replies if you want.

Second the other commenter’s suggestion to look up Dr. Fung. 500 calories a day, every day, is not fasting. It is a very very low calorie diet.

Krista Varady popularized the every other day diet, which involves eating 500 calories every other day. Perhaps you could try that.

Otherwise, yes, sip the broth for electrolytes. If you need fasting aids like heavy cream in your coffee to get you through the fast, try it.
