By ginger water I mean like a whole ginger grated into a pot of water, boiling the water and simmering for several minutes, then straining any solid pieces and drinking the water. Will the ginger juices and nutrients that have been encorporated into the water break my fast?
Purists will say that any amount of calories will break a fast and ginger water is said to have 5 calories. I’ve heard it called, dirty fasting to have some calories, like a little cream in coffee. Really depends on how pure you want to go. If drinking ginger water keeps you fasting, I’d say keep doing it.
