DRY fasting and vaccines

Hello,

the following thought crossed my mind: Does dry fasting affect vaccinations? Is it possible that dry fasting removes vaccines from the body? I have several vaccinations from my childhood and also youth. Now I wonder if steady dry fasting had any influence on these vaccinations and if they are still effective.

if youre dryfasting hard enough to undo a vaccination i think you dont need that vaccination anyway cause you could just as easily heal any virus by the same method. that being said, vaccines make your body create antibodies against viruses (aka even though the vaccine comes from the outside, the effect that ultimately protects you is done by your own body) and please anyone correct me if im misunderstanding vaccines and i dont know if this same thing applies to the new kind of vaccines.

now if you think about it, dryfasting is to promote the health of your system so why would it flush out its own database of antibodies? on the other hand dryfasting does help against auto-immune induced ailments so it can and does change your auto-immune response. i dont think it will affect immunity against viruses but im far from an expert. either way keep in mind that any vaccine has probably left your system ages ago, only your own antibodies is what remains.

So, interesting you should ask this as r/fasting has a disclaimer running on their side panel right now that says “Do not fast if you are going to get vaccinated or for a few weeks after your last dose”…something to that effect. They list the reasons why and it’s all right there on their front page.

Thank you all for your comments! In case someone might have misunderstood me: I am not anti-vaccination! I am very curious and wondered, for current reasons, what effect fasting has on vaccinations and vice versa.

Answer

It makes no sense that the memory cells of your immune system would reset due to a fast. If that was the case, people on long fasts would easily contract diseases like measles or tetanus, that have been near eradicated by vaccines.

Don’t underestimate your immune system. The basis for any fasting is that ancient peoples had to go through periods of fasting too for survival. If that was a detriment, there’d be plenty of people to feel the effects.

If I were you, I’d look into how any individual vaccine works to ease your mind.
