guides or info to get started

I am trying to lose just a few pounds, that last tiny bit of baby weight. I work out 4-5 times a week and make sure my heart rate is up for at least 22-35 mins. I really don’t want to count calories because it can make me stressed and obsessive about what I eat. So I want to try IF. How do I know what the right amount of time to fast is for me?

Answer

Typically, you’d start off with 12 hours and eventually work your way up to 16. People who to want to lose a lot of weight typically do 20+ hours of fasting or OMAD (one meal day), so I’m doubtful you’d want to commit that.

Answer

To keep it simple, you could have your dinner early and stop eating around 6pm, and push your morning breakfast to like 10am or 11am. Thats 16 hours fasting and 8 hours eating more or less. 16 hours seems to be the standard for IF but you could work your way up to it starting at 12 hours fasting. Extend your fasting time a little bit each day or week depending on how you feel.
