This is the end of day three for me.
Edit: Btw, I have been staying out of the sun, always have the A/C too. I’ve been taking walks and helping a friend move during this time too so that’s been the extent of my exercise/movement.
Another edit: I also use 90% alcohol for cleaning myself. TMI but I also used hydrogen peroxide to clean myself during my cycle. I’ve abandoned the do not fast during menstruation rule cause I see my body is still functioning just fine as I am fasting.
You really do lose weight faster. I got back into ketosis in a day after eating a lot of carbs before…
I had dry throat the first day and an intense headache. Breathing exercises helped ease the dry throat and headache a lot. The headaches usually go away completely after getting sleep.
Day three and no dry throat, no headaches. But my behavior has gotten kinda weird, even for me and I know I have my fair share of idiosyncrasies.
I have started to like watching my friends eat and drink. I requested my friend drink some water in front of me today and they gave me some side eye.
I hugged another friend for ten minutes because their skin was cool and a bit clammy. It just felt too good. I know my skin wanted the water.
It started to rain today and I had to fight the urge to go run around in it.
I started listening to YouTube videos of people chewing food. I find the crunching calming.
My strange behavior aside, this is kind of easier than water fasting in a way. No adrenaline rushes so I get sleepy and go to sleep normally. Enhanced sense of smell though, similar to water fasting. I feel weird cause of how I’ve been acting lately but I feel fine. I feel great actually. This is a new record for me and Im going for day four.
Didn’t see any changes in skin though. Maybe after doing some more 3 day hard fasts in the future I will see progress.
Edit: So today is day four. I’m going to go for five and go into a water fast. Apparently the skin changes happen after the dry fast so Im going to take before and after pics of my scars.
Edit: Day five and breaking my fast in a couple hours. I actually had a BM yesterday and today. I was kind of surprised by that.
Last night I had a little trouble sleeping and I could feel my pulse. It wasn’t faster than normal, just louder if that makes any sense. I know my dry fast wasn’t completely hard, but I tried to avoid items with more than 50% water as much as possible. My weight loss is 20 lbs now. My weight loss stalled between yesterday and today and I can only think it was because of my cycle.
I was pretty fluffy and now Im moderately fluffy. The extended dry fast wasn’t bad at all. Planning to do it again in shorter spurts next month cause it’s hard to stay active and clean on a hard dry while working in office.
Edit: So I did another hard 3 day dry fast at the beginning of this month and came off with broth and water. I can attest that the hard knots (scar tissue) I could feel under my surgery scars are completely gone now. I’m taking progress pics of my scars and may upload them later.
lol that is something else. When i am fasting i get very agitated in the initial stages. Like the smallest things will set me off. After the first couple of days though i get that euphoria and everything is fantastic. All of my senses get way sharper when I am fasting. Like the other day i caught a scent of new car smell from my 6 year old car.
Omg me too… I’m usually do dry fasting for 3 days at a time but this time it’s alittle more difficult for me…. Maybe it’s been 3-4 months since I did a dry fasting? My mind is forcing me to think of cold unsweet ice teas… chicken pot pies, cheesesteaks and such ugh…. I need a support group to keep me incheck.
