Dehydration is particularly hard on your kidneys. They begin to necrose after only about a day or so. The kidneys will recover but it takes time. Kidneys are one of the biggest legitimate worries of a dry fast.

If you are down to one, IMO you need to give it a lot of consideration. If dry fasting is important to you spiritually, it is a decision that you will have to make for yourself.
