Hi! I am 180lbs female that is struggling with a sugar addiction. I have high cholesterol.
I’ve always wanted to try intermittent fasting but have no idea how to start.
All of the progress photos in this sub are very inspirational.

You need to learn the difference between being hungry and being sick. IF will make you hungry and that’s OK. IF should not make you sick, but it can if you do it wrong. Being able to tell the difference between regular hunger that you should ignore, and dietary issues that you need to fix is an important key to success.
The only way I know to learn that is to try different things out and pay close attention to your body and your mood.
This sub has a great pinned post about beginner stuff. Really though just skip breakfast, in your window eat smart but still enjoy yourself.
I’m 5ish weeks in now and finding it an absolute breeze. Somedays I find myself veering towards 18:6 or the occasional 20:4 fast. Did my first 24 hour fast last week. Almost any question you can ask has been touched upon in here so the searchbar in this sub is really great aswell.
