I'm new to this. I just downloaded the 'Simple' app.

I signed up for a one-week trial and I’m enjoying it so far. I’ve been motivated by the fact it shows that ‘fat burning’ starts about 6 to 7 a.m. if I eat dinner at 6 or 7 the evening before. The app has me doing 14:10 but I think I can do 16:8 to start with.

I’m 53F, and have yo-yo dieted all my life. I have a good 40-50 pounds to lose, but even 30 would make a difference if I include exercise and cardio. I’ve tried keto but could not stick to it, and I’ve been successful in the past with CICO and tracking like Weight Watchers, but I never stick with it and gain back.

Any other middle-aged, short-stature women here who have very low TDEEs and low metabolisms as well? Have you been successful? How hard is it to keep going, day by day even if you don’t see a loss yet?

Using this app helps because it keeps coaching you and keeps you accountable, but it costs less than WW and Noom.

The best thing for me has been that I don’t think about food every waking moment. It was exhausting. Now, I just think about what low calorie, high fiber/protein foods am I going to eat, in my window (11am-4pm). No reason to think about food after that.

Losing that initial bloat is amazing. I’m down ten pounds in two weeks. Hoping for another 30.

Though not female I am 57 and like you have yo-yo’d all my life. If you haven’t I HIGHLY recommend reading The Obesity Code by Jason Fung. That book changed my life. I’m no longer taking diabetes, blood pressure or cholesterol meds and have lost over 140 pounds WITHOUT any hunger or cravings. Life is too short to weigh/measure and log food and once you read his book you’ll understand that it’s NOT your fault you couldn’t stick with cico or low-fat diets.
