Is copper glycinate a go or a no go ?

I am going on a long fast of 30 days, and plan on taking Pure Encapsulations Copper Glycinate.

This is the only brand sans the bulking agents and Magnesium Stearate, and uses cellulose (which is indigestible by the body anyways) as a capsule covering, which perhaps I can even remove before mixing the powdered contents in water and drinking it.

But the second part of this copper salt - glycinate - kinda troubles me. Is it a fatty acid salt ? Will it get me out of autophagy and ketosis ?

Since this is a 30 day fast possibly extensible to 40, it is mostly for the above reasons along with significant spiritual ones.

Answer

A brief Google shows that mTOR is sensitive to essential amino acids and leucine. Since glycine is not a on the list you should be good to go. Just don’t eat the tablets like tic tacs. Copper glycinate is a metal amino acid salt BTW.
