According to the german site naehrwertrechner.de (https://www.naehrwertrechner.de/naehrwerte/V531100/Rind+Leber+roh?menge=100), the vitamin a content in raw beef liver is 59666iu & the copper content 3.2mg. According to cronometer the vitamin a content is 16898iu & the copper content 9.8mg.
For chicken liver it‘s 42666iu (naehrwertrechner) vs 11078iu (cronometer).
Those are huge differences. Do you guys know what‘s the reason for that & which values are closer to reality?
Where do you live? I would guess that chronometer pulls info from US based resources, and the other website from Germany or whatever that website is based in. Nutrients in meat vary greatly depending on how those animals lived, what type of breed, etc. Factory farmed cattle eating corn feed is going to have a very different nutrient profile than cattle allowed to graze on grass - and then depending on what breed of cattle and what type of grasses they’re eating, the nutrients will vary even more.
Bottom line, liver is really high in Vitamin A and copper.
