If I am fasting just to fix my awful digestion issues, can I still have 2 tables of spoons of sauerkraut for probiotics? it is 5 calories. Idk what caused my digestion issues. Maybe my chronic stress or herniated discs idk. My gut microbiome is potentially crap, or the acid in my stomach from my stress and anxiety so idk if this is the right plan. I figured I would fast and still have my 2 tablespoons for probiotics, while being able to find out if something I am eating is causing indigestion
Maybe you could look at Longo’s studies, some of them seem to point in the direction a “fasting mimicking diet” might help with autoimmune conditions and also with gut lining quality if I remember well.
