Minimalist necessary supplements list

I know that the recommendations are to have a balanced diet instead of supplementing, but if one wants to be honest it is very difficult to understand and apply constantly the norms of a perfect diet so: for someone who doesn’t want to be enslaved to the supplements industry, what are the minimal/most beneficial diet supplements to take daily/weekly?

For now I get B12 & Omega-3 EPA/DHA+VitE, 1/2 times per week I get.a 60B CFU Probiotic Bacteria Complex as I got instructed on gut health.

Any suggestion to add/remove/modify doses?

You probably don’t need B12 pills unless you are vegan or vegetarian. I know some people have a genetic mutation for methylation that makes them require more folate and B12 though.

Check online if your probiotic is actually doing anything, a lot of the pills are basically worthless and should be swapped out with eating fermented foods with live cultures everyday.

Omega 3 fish oil supplements mostly suck, they cost decent money but only contain less than 0.5g of combined EPA/DHA, which does very little to counter the average excess of Omega 6 that most people consume daily. You’d be better off just eating fish or maybe Cod Liver Oil.

You can basically get almost every nutrient you need from food at the store. Some nutrients that are hard to get in food besides very specific options are enough Potassium, Choline, iodine (if you don’t use a lot of salt), Copper, Zinc, folate (don’t buy folic acid, buy the active form), Biotin.

Half of the stuff I listed is fixed if you eat egg yolks every day.

With all due respect, what you’re doing sounds like asylum-type insanity. No other animal in nature needs to read an article on what to eat, or take supplements. You should focus on organ meats such as liver, heart and eat plenty of animal fat, eggs, butter, etc. because that’s what we need, not pills. You will never be healthy or happy taking pills. It’s not my opinion, it’s just obvious lol. Wouldn’t give an elephant pills instead of fish. Or try to calculate each nutrient. anyways
