Noob Fasting/Running Question

I do 16:8 skipping breakfast. I’m also an avid runner, preferring my runs in the AM to benefit from fasted cardio and before I lose motivation 😅. I had been drinking Xtend Sport and then found out I am an idiot cause the BCAAs break a fast (noob, I know 🤦‍♀️) so then I switched to using Propel and found out I’m a double idiot cause they also break a fast 🤷🏼‍♀️ lol. I’m new to this and still learning what does and doesn’t break a fast. I’m my head I’ve always though if it doesn’t have calories and does say “sugar” then is ok, I’m slowly learning there is so much more to it than that. Anyways I’m trying to find out what I can drink for electrolytes that won’t break my fast. Side note, I am breastfeeding so I don’t want anything that would be harmful to my LO.

ETA: the LO I am beast feeding is not a tiny baby solely on BM at this point. I not looking for advise on breastfeeding and IF. I only mentioned it cause I just don’t want something that will pass through the milk. But thanks for the concern.

I don’t have an answer to your question, so sorry for that. But have you tried running fasting without an electrolyte drink? I love doing my exercise (including running) while fasting in the morning, and I only have a little water beforehand and as much as I want after.

I use keto chow daily minerals (start small! or the only place you’ll be running is the toilet) or just salt and some ACV in my water. Works like a charm for me. Good for you on BF and IF. I recently weaned my 4th and have done it with babes 3 and 4 without issue.
