Question on oats

I bought oats and it says it’s 365 calories, 14g protein per 100grams dried and then it says it’s 59.4 calories, 2.4g protein per 100grams when cooked. Could someone pls explain this to me😅 sorry if it’s a really stupid question

Also should I be having oats everyday for breakfast?

And if there’s anyone here really good with nutrition that would like to answer some more questions that I have pls lmk thx so much

Answer

I used to eat oats (microwave/stove top) everyday for the last 8 years or so with sliced banana for sweetness.

I only stopped because I started intermittent fasting and I do fasted runs in the morning, never had any problems

Answer

I eat oats every day. I don’t cook them. I overnight them in a mason jar in the refrigerator with half as much oats as water and with a splash of lemon juice. Eat them with different fruit each morning. Really good and very nutritious. (Some people use milk to overnight them but I read somewhere that milk interferes with the absorption of nutrients of blueberries).

Answer

I eat oats every day with warm water, nuts and seeds, i fast from 7pm to about 10am, have done for years now and my weight is really good and they have helped reduce my cholesterol. They also keep me full until lunch time.
