seasonal changes in macros

I’m wondering if there’s any books, research or studies on the topic of nutrition needs over different climates or seasonal weather patterns?

It seems possible that our food needs would change over the seasons but I don’t know where to start to find resources. Thanks!

Answer

You could look into research on the microbiome! As I recall, there is some research indicating that our microbiomes change seasonality to better “work with,” the foods we would have evolved to eat at different seasons.

So I would wonder if this would impact macros too. I know I certainly want more fatty things in winter, more carbs in summer.
