Hello, this latest episode started a bit weak but came on very strong for me towards the middle. Very strong resonance with my âjourneyâ (for lack of better word): I tend to slide little by little, towards slightly more carbs and slightly bigger portions. And picking certain foods (and activities), is how I sort of âresetâ that, and only that really works for getting me back on track. (Willpower not my thing I guess.) They said some great things about that in this episode!
So yeah, really surprised that the episode turned out so hard-hitting after the âmushyâ (imo) beginning. I must say their episodes have been slightly less inspired since summer so this makes me happy. To anyone new to their podcast, I say go for episode 1-20. That is where the goldmine is mostly at.
Side story - I tried something totally new today: home made chili paste. As a âcivilized Europeanâ I was shocked to read some of the things Americans will put in their BBQ/chili sauce - e.g. things like coffee and chocolate. So since I already eat a tomato sauce currently, I decided to spice it up (literally) and make it more of a thin layer spicy spread (slightly fewer carbs is always good for me.) The result was super nice and interesting, compared to the simple tomato sauce I have been having with meats since summer.
Thanks for reading đđ» - and sorry if this was not entirely informative or coherent. I guess my main message is: check that podcast out, if you have not already. (The Fasting Method)
I actually agree with your comment about the latest episodes not being so inspiring. I still enjoy listening, but the earlier episodes had more information and advice whereas the newer ones seem to focus more on having a discussion around a certain topic. The Q&A episodes have been absolutely brilliant!
Also.. I think Coach Terri is fantastic, but I find it difficult to implement her tips into my daily life. Then again I guess the whole point is that the podcast is more of an introduction to these topics and if you really need help then you should join their community. But still.. am very grateful for the free content they put out!
