I don’t know if it helps, but it helped me.

It’s not your body telling you it’s dying. It’s your body telling you that its used to eating and based on that repetitive cycle (eating daily).

This is where the difference between hunger and true hunger come in. You’ll likely know when “true hunger” sets in. But most regular hunger is just because our bodies are on a cycle.

If you never eat breakfast, you’re not going to be hungry in the mornings. If you’re used to eating breakfast, your body will release ghrelin (hunger hormone) to essentially say “you usually eat now”

Personally this helps me remember that everything is ok. And is encouraging because of that sense of accomplishment of overcoming natures obstacles.

This is the struggle. It become very clear to me that eating certain things and the routine of eating at certain times has become almost an addiction. I am not hungry but the drive and compulsion to eat is so strong to fight. 100% a mental exercise!

When fasting, our bodies will through a lot of adaptations, i.e from using glucose primarily to ketones. Also, there’s also the fact that body will dump sodium initially when dumping the leftover glycogen, and that excess ketones also bind to sodium at first, which is why electrolytes are important!!

Just know that that lethargic feeling is a great sign that your insulin is lowered and that you’re gaining your insulin sensitivity and leptin sensitivity moving forward!!! Ketones go up, autophagy up, cells adapting to ketones, brain ketones up, brain relearning to use this amazing fuel called ketones, and so much more!

It’s a feeling we’ll eventually get used to!
