That’s a tough one. If it were me I’d first try to define “junk food” and see if there is any wiggle room in what’s called junk food. For example I work with powerlifters who eat a lot Chipotle.
Another thought I have is to look into health being subjective. I.e. There is not a one size fits all approach to health.
Good luck this is a tough road to hoe.
I want to preface this by saying junk food is horrible nasty shit never eat it!That being said so called “junk” food is a marvel of the modern day economic world, it takes full advantage of modern farming techniques to grow and make food which arrives on your plate at the cheapest cost and most efficient way possible! Healthy food on the other hand is usually alot more costly to grow and distribute due to its limited shelf life. Where as junk food lasts forever, if we did ever find ourselves in a zombie apocalypse it will be the cup o noodles and the ding dongs that will save you over a quinoa salad if you can find one still in date!So it’s convenient, readily available and cheap. McDonald’s feeds a billion people a day all at a profit! Finally junk foods provides memories that last a life time, wether it’s your favourite bowl of cereal growing up and sharing hot fudge banana split sundae with a first date or going to Macdonalds for the first time, junk food sparks joy more than any other food we know! Let alone it’s a modern chemical wonder when that Dorito chip hits your mouth. I’d like to see a kale salad do that! Junk food keeping our nation fed and happy since 1945!
That’s all I got right now bro, I’m off for a Big Mac..
