Buffalo vs Chicken for healthy nutrition?

Everything I read about Buffalo says it has less cholesterol, fat, and more priests in than even chicken. Does this mean, that even though it is a red meat, it is better for us than chicken? Hopefully this isn’t removed instantly again.

Answer

Buffalo is very good for you and nutrient dense, but it’s still red meat. So you do have to be careful with how you cook it because while the red meat will give you cancer stuff is bullshit, the mallard reaction that the meat gets from charring is a hotly debated thing that could be carcinogenic. I eat Buffalo meat maybe once or twice a week and usually just makes small tacos out of it with some whole wheat tortillas. Incredible macros.

Answer

I woudn’t worry about the amount of cholesterol in animal products, as most is made directly by your body. Red meat is also not gonna give you cancer or other adverse health effects.

I would say there isn’t anything ‘better for us’ when it comes to different kinds of animals. Everyone has different tastes, tolerances and needs.
These are some important factors to consider when choosing your meat:

- Is the meat organic or wild caught?

- Are the animals receiving the proper care, and diet?

- Can I tolerate this food personally? (some people might find they are intolerant to certain foods, or don’t feel their best)

- Peronal macronutrient ratio protein/fat/carb (maybe its too much fat or protein if you have a condition)

- Does it taste good? (its hard to follow a diet with a bad taste in your mouth)

All of this will affect the quality of your meat and the outcome of your question. Its hard for people to help you with this as it is highly personal. I hope this gives you a better idea of what to choose. Good luck!
