A combination of a few things: lots of my own research, and following my naturopathic doctor’s plan for me over the years. I listen to my doctor’s podcasts, I follow Dr Axe, and I have books on nutrition and my medical conditions. I recently was told about PubMed.gov, but haven’texplored it too much yet. But probably my biggest influence was reading the book “It starts with food” after my doctor had me try the Whole30 lifestyle for a while. The science it teaches, along with how amazing I was feeling after the lifestyle change, has really helped me in my health journey.

That’s a really good question… I’ve studied nutrition for quite some time I’ve gone through lots of diets and followed A ton of different doctors, influencers, or just random creators.

Also I don’t see why people think you need to be a licensed professional to have legitimate advice. you can take studies and break them down and put them into a video. It doesn’t take a medical expert to do that. Also there’s new studies on SO many topics and ideas coming out EVERY DAY so there’s no way you’d be able to keep up if you even were a licensed professional as you’d likely be doing your day job most the time right?

Anyways, I’d have to say Dr. berg. He has a tonn of videos regarding a number of health/nutrition-related topics that are really easy to follow and understand, generally gets straight to the point.I like thomas delaur for studies on topics that only have just been recently released.

But with any creator.. I take what they say and then do my own research. I’m sure some of them are maybe not 100% correct. Also the facts on nutrition are constantly changing as we discover more about our gut microbiome how it affects our metabolism and livelihood (look into the total health show podcast) it’s good to keep an open mind. , also there’s constantly new studies on how certain nutrients affect our health that contradict what we had previously thought to be true.
