Does anyone have a favorite? Thanks!
I am not entirely clear about the source of the ingredients used in Athletic Greens and cannot suggest an alternative without probiotics. I would, however, suggest getting the very same nutrients with a better level of absorption from a homemade green smoothie. A simple recipe for daily consumption would have 100g of green (kale and asparagus are great), 50g of Blueberries (frozen is best if not in season), a banana (or apple if you prefer), a handful of oat and natural (not from concentrate) orange juice (or natural juice of choice) to mix.
I am not sure what your personal health and wellbeing goal is but this has helped me and some of the people I have suggested (I am a completing health coach certification) it to. It might need to be adjusted and tailored to your needs.
You can make your own. I have a small organic garden and at the end of the season (hard winter here), I clear out the greens (kale, chard, broccoli, cauliflower, carrot, beets, etc. - the only greens not edible are white potatoes), dehydrate them, and grind them into a powder. It’s obviously not as good as fresh but a way not to waste and to have good quality green powder.
I see there’s lots of hate, but I have a silly busy life with kids and my own business. I definitely get sick or run down far less often than I used to since taking a green powder of which I won’t name.My whole family can be dropping like flies with colds and the usual winter bugs, but I’ve evaded it all. Could be unrelated, who knows.
