i’ve been thinking about taking some time to do a 5-7 day fast, longer with my weight allowing. not sure if i have the reserves to go longer as i’m around 130lbs and 5’4 but would love to try as my longest fast was 4 days.
anyway, been dealing with some bad inflammation and hormonal issues and would just like a fresh start for my body, but worry about my performance in class and my ability to focus enough to make the drive to uni every day without endangering myself and others. will be taking time off the gym for this, no weights and only minimal cardio achieved through getting in my 10k steps.
how has your concentration and general ability to focus held up during fasts of 1-2 weeks? any tips?
I can’t speak to whether fasting is healthy at your weight, but I can tell you that your mental state gets sharper when you fast. If you want to feel fatigued and unable to concentrate, eat a big lunch and then see how well your afternoon classes go.
