I was only 24 hours into an intended multi day fast but was cooking for my family and ended up eating chicken justifying it to myself at the time.. what do you do in these cases? Keep fasting as if it didn’t happen or eat a meal and consider it a rolling fast? I did the latter but curious what others do. Starting a new fast now… On a side note, keeping a family running and fasting is super hard. :-(
It doesn’t make a difference in the long run. What I do personally depends on what I ate. If it’s something carby like a cookie, then I go ahead and eat a full meal or two until I’m ready for the next fast. But if it’s something like a bite of chicken that is not going to have a huge effect on my insulin, I’d probably just keep going with the fast.
