What's everyone's 2022 opinions on ON Whey Protein?

Anything better, healthier? Just want to know if anything has changed for the worst that my google search didn’t come up with. Also, (serious question) is taking protein powder considered natural, or is it part of juicing, steroid use? I’m assuming it’s natural since it’s just protein in powder form, no? Correct me if I’m wrong. But, in any case, I’m open to new suggestions for protein powder that is healthier, cheaper, better..etc.

Answer

Protein powder is considered natural 100%, as you said its just protein in powder form. Some People digest some brands better than others, in generel i‘d say there’s no huge differences in quality from brand to brand unless you buy the super cheap stuff.
Try a few brands and see what you like the most!

Answer

Whey protein powder is just a dietary supplement to help you eat more protein if you want a higher intake. There’s nothing magical about it.

Personally I like casein protein powder better, especially from ON. Thicker texture, fills you up/controls hunger better, works well in baked goods, etc.

Artificial sweeteners for me are a migraine trigger so I only have had the “natural” one. That being said, it’s terrible. The taste is weak. The consistency is weird, especially when I make my oats. It’s sticky and almost a bit slimy.

Muscle Feast is far superior. It’s much more expensive but there is just such a big difference.

Answer

It’s a processed food. Generally I try to avoid processed foods. That said I have 2 scoops of high quality protein powder every morning after my workout. It helps me meet my protein and caloric intake goals.

Answer

A lot of people digest whey protein very poorly. Folks tout whey as the best fastest absorbing protein with the most optimal amino acid blend to build blah blah blah.

But if it messes your gut up and makes you fart a bunch or bloat, it ain’t worth it. I’ve always preferred casein for a milk based protein, or basically any plant protein, especially a blend, for digestive reasons.

I prefer even more to just get my protein from whole food and limit the amount of processed supplements I take.

Answer

ON is good and so is MyProtein. They often run some great sales on their web site. It’s hard to find a whey protein that isn’t good in all honesty. Some people freak out about maltodextrin but it all still works.
