3-4 small 400 cal. snacks daily and elevated HGH levels

In a few of Cole’s recent videos he asserts that this fasting mimicking diet causes ‘crazy high HGH levels’

While I consider him very credible, can anyone refer me to other videos that document or assert this claim? Did I misunderstand him?

I’m doing it daily until I get into high, measurable, ketone levels, then will add rolling 24, 48s and eventually 72s.

From his rants, it sounds like the emphasis is to build a lifestyle of smal low calorie meals. He commented that anyone can lose weight on a 10 day fast, but few can keep the weight off.

It seems to be a common thread that people will lose 70 lbs and regain it in a year. My energy levels are finally good, better than my energy levels on my previous, unstructured diet.

Doesn’t small meals make you hungrier and make you weaker on a low calorie diet with muscle loss and brain fog? Better off fasting for 72 hours then eat big until satisfied. He changes his protocols way too often.

Don’t think it’s daily! U got to do prolonged fasting followed by a high fat <400 Cals meal. Have done it on rolling 72s and it’s very effective. Only problem I have is to train myself to stop eating again

My understanding is that small 400 cal. snacks of no carbs, low protein and the rest of calories in fats, moves the body into ketosis. My maintenance caloric intake is 2200. The state of ketosis allows my body to access body fat to compensate for the caloric deficit. I have an ‘impressive’ amount of body fat, so the low calorie value of the snack is sustainable for me since stored body fat is available. The difficulty is experienced (by me) as my body becomes more and more proficient metabolizing fat. Right now it is difficult since I am only in moderate ketosis (1.6 mm). In a day or two it will be much more comfortable.
