My wife and I have been doing IF for a little over two weeks now. She’s already dropping weight and I’m so freaking proud of her but I haven’t budged an ounce. We’re doing 18/6 and it was surprisingly easy to get to there, with one 20/4 thrown in. I counted calories and I’m averaging about 1600 a day which is significantly lower than the 2500/day I’ve always been told a male in my age range needed to maintain. I’m not sure where I’m going wrong here. Any help would be much appreciated. I really want this to work but I’m not sure what’s going on. I don’t expect dramatic weight loss instantly; I do realize it’s a process, but I’d expect something to show by now. Even just a pound.
Everyone loses weight at different rates. Personally I can’t lose regardless even if everything else is healthy if I don’t limit sugar and meat. Everyone is different. Learn your body and don’t judge your success off of hers. Give it a month or two.
