Just starting! Need help to deal and some recommendations <3

Hi!

So I am starting a normal 20:4 IF since Sunday! I am having some problems that I would like to ask how you tackle them personally:

1 - Acidity - So to try to “fool the hunger” or to keep some taste in my mouth I usually drink coffee, tea (like argentinian mate) or lemon water… The problem is that all of these are extremely acid. In the morning I used to have coffee with toast and the toast was acting like a “bed” for the coffee (maybe its placebo) so now the acidity really hits bad… Do you do something for it? It gets better? Do you avoid these things all together?

2 - Vitamins - I saw many people take vitamins… Is this recommended? Is it because many people take different diets like keto or vegan? If you recommend which ones you recommend and why?

3 - Do you change your times? For instance my 4 hours are after work (so from 5-9) but I was thinking about doing lunch time during the week and then fast a bit more on thrsday-friday and change to dinner in the weekends (to take the lady to eat out and maybe have drinks). Do you do that or you ALWAYS keep conscistency?

  1. Can add some pink salt to cut the bitterness and acidity of those drink or maybe dilute them a little more with some more water.

  2. Personally I just take a multivitamin along with my meals. Keeping your electrolytes up is key to not feeling like shit. So adding little bit of salt as mentioned in #1 should help with that.

  3. I do OMAD (23:1) daily and (20:4) when I can’t meet my eating window. The great thing about IF is the flexibility meaning if you are doing it consistently overtime the small changes you make sometimes doesn’t affect the overall progress so much. You can always change the time you fast and eating window if you feel like you are not getting results.
