40-42 hour fasts, need some help/assurance

I recently started doing 40-42 hour fasts(started out as 36 but I hate breakfast and so it is 42). I used to do 16-20 hour fasts before.

The night of full day fast, I feel tired and feel cold even if others in room are feeling warm. Is this expected? Also my brain doesn’t want to do any thinking intensive work. Any way to fix it?

Answer

I get colder the longer a fast goes on. If I lightly exercise it seems to jumpstart things and keep me in a good space for quite a few hours. Moving is my way to combat the cold

I can’t help with the brain fog because my situation is the opposite (chronically ill and fasting actually boosts my thinking ability)

Answer

In my experience during those moments I just force myself to do something and once I start I’m way more focused than I would be otherwise. It’s weird, u kinda need to kick your brain out of that foggy feeling. Electrolytes and hot tea/ coffee helps too. Good luck!
