I’ve tried and failed to fast for more than 24 hours so many times until I realized that my mouth just wanted sensation and flavor. In the morning I have plain seltzer and some Trader Joe’s everything seasoning and I am good to go for the rest of the day, zero issues.
Finally, I figured out what works for me. I was always envious of posters who cracked the code for themselves and at long last after so much trial and error I’m amongst them. Emotionally it feels so damn good.
I have a Soda Stream and I use Stur or Sweetleaf water enhancers that are sweetened with stevia and do not break a fast. I also sip on pickle and olive juice. I can’t do black coffee but I love herbal teas while I fast. Tazo has a Glazed Lemon Loaf tea that is so good with some Sweetleaf vanilla flavored drops. I like your Everything Bagel seasoning idea! I usually just crunch on some flake salt or Himalayan sea salt. Some bone broth (under 10 cals and <1gr protien) at “dinner “ and “lunch” times makes it feel more normal too.
