Tonight I intended to fast after dinner, but I had a stressful day so after dinner my partner and I decided to have some wine. That turned into too much wine. This is a semi regular interruption to my IF. I really thought about it tonight (albeit I’m still slightly under the influence) and realised it only bought me about an extra fee 45 mins of actual awesomeness, then I was feeling under the weather
I never eat (including alcohol) in the evening but Friday night we have an extended family pizza night with games etc. I usually try to eat a very light and late lunch to break my fast from Thursday and then enjoy my wine/beer on Friday night. I usually try to break my fast later on Saturday as well to get my 16-18 hours in.
Not sure if you would call it a cheat day but I look forward to Friday evenings all week and not willing to give it up. I call it a “making IF work for me” day.
So far this has worked for me…down \~12lbs in 6 weeks. I lazily count my calories and try to keep my intake to \~1200-1500ish.
So that is my very inexperienced, non-professional advice…make IF work for you. If you had tough day…have a beer or two…but get back on track tomorrow..just make it the exception…not the rule.
