I tested positive Monday but had symptoms since last Friday. Actually did a 23 hour hard dry fast and knocked out most of my symptoms the day after.
It’s currently Thursday night where I’m at and I have no smell or taste(found out after eating something different today).
Is it possible that dry fasting for a few days can bring my smell and taste back? Either way I’m doing a 7 to heal my body more and lose some weight.
For the people who have it or had it, does it feel like another cold to you or something worst?
I currently have covid. Symptoms started 8 days ago. Was tested a few days ago positive. I thought I had the flu. I smelled and tasted ammonia. Body ache, chills, headache. Most of the symptoms were knocked out in first 2-3 days of the dryfast. I’m 5 days into a dryfast. I still have a light smell and taste of ammonia.
Otherwise I had completely forgotten about covid. Oh yeah, still have yet to take any medication I was prescribed. Coincidently, when I was eating I was more dehydrated then when I was not dryfasting. I’m planning to dryfast for awhile since I have the time off work.
Please follow doctor’s recommendations. COVID is not a joke if you are symptomatic now you do not want to mess around. Week two is when most people turn for the worst and you don’t want to be dehydrated as well.
Yep. Just a mild flu. Was able to exercise and run the entire time (didn’t know that I had it when I did tho). The only symptoms I got were a lower back pain (more annoying than painful), pain on the eyes when I look around (also more annoying than painful) and a mild feeling of flu and fever (but definitely not the worst I had).
I’m about three weeks out of recovery. All in all - it wasn’t bad. Akin to a moderate cold/flu. Really only had the “sick feeling” for three days. Lethargy & loss of taste/smell took about two weeks to start to return to normal. My sense of taste is still a bit off.
