Best way to transition into temporary bad eating

I’m 36 and 6’3”, started at 291lb. I’ve been doing rolling 48hr and 72hr fasts for about a month and I’m down to 273lb. I’m planning to keep this up for the next two months and get as close to my goal weight (230lb) as I can. Problem is, this week I’m traveling to my wife’s family home where I will have (and want) to partake in some less than healthy food (carbs/sugar) and drinks (beer/wine). I’m planning to fast in-between all these cheat meals but I’m not hoping for much in the way of losses this week. What’s the be the best way to transition into my garbage week and do as little damage to my weight loss as possible. Thanks in advance for the advice!

Just don’t go into it straight out of a fast. Aka don’t do a 72 hour fast and then crush down a horrible meal with beers. Eat some normal stuff the day before

Biggest thing is turn things away as much as you can, definitely fast outside of all that as much as possible (if you said “I’m not hungry” the morning after, nobody questions it. Nobody thinks you’re hardcore fasting because sometimes it happens to them too after a crazy night). If you consume 2000, 2500 calories, etc. it’s not the end of the world. It’s higher than maintenance but not by a ton. But if you pack yourself full with 5000 calories a day, that’ll be bad. You can fit a lot within that 2500 calories

And then you need to get right back into it immediately when you get home afterward

Do not fall into the “well I already had a terrible weekend… maybe I’ll just have a few more days and then get back into it”. Next thing you know it’s 2 weeks later and you weigh 290+ again, wasting literally all the time you just spent fasting prior.

I was in the same boat yesterday at an nfl playoff party. I caved a little, but kept it under control. Just be conscious of what you’re eating & re-start afterwards. It’s a long process..you can live a little here & there.
