From my own personal experience, eating 2000 calories in one sitting after 16 hours of fasting doesn’t feel any different from eating the same amount after 8 hours. I find that after fasting for about 36 hours is when I would slowly bring in the food since I find I get explosive diarrhea fasting that long.
I eat a 1600 calorie bowl of muesli and nuts and peanut butter and fruit after 20 hours with no issue, followed by whatever else I’m eating (I’m trying to gain a little). I don’t have any issues.
If it was an extended multiday feast, then yes that requires a bit more thought and care. Breaking IF fasts aren’t anything too special though. Just avoid carb heavy meals I guess as this can spike blood sugar a lot.
