Binging on drinks after finishing dry fasting

I don’t like making my fast public, but I feel this is an important question I need to ask.

Last time after I finished dry fasting, I began to drink green tea and my stomach felt full but my mouth felt thirsty so I drank lots of it and I began to feel pain in my stomach. I later made hard poops in the toilet which gave me excruciating pain (it’s healed now).

And again I have recently finished dry fasting. I began to drink water. As usual my stomach felt full but my mouth felt thirsty so I began to drink a lot water and I felt a slight pain in my stomach. I am worried that my poop will be hard again.

Answer

How long are you dry fasting for? If more than a few days, you should be very careful about drinking too much at once. However thirsty you feel, take it very slowly, sip your water little and often, rather than huge gulps. Take some electrolytes as well - stay near the toilet just in case.

Answer

Try just rinsing your mouth with cold water, you are not feeling the thirst, your body is just dealing with the effects of prolonged dryness in mouth. Also, before moving to solid foods, try drinking fresh fruit and vegetable juice, it will help your body to prepare itself for digestion again.

How long were you dry fasting? In any case, it’s important to sip rather than drink after a dry fast, especially the longer it goes. Imagine how the body handles going from no water to suddenly a ton of water - it’s overload
