Can I have different times day-to-day

I started intermittent fasting a few days ago. I’m doing 16-8 with my eating period being 12pm-8pm. Every Tuesday, I have a commitment from 5:30-9:30 in which I cannot eat. When I get home, it’s past my eating window so I go to bed hungry.

Would it still be effective if I started fasting at 5pm on Tuesday and ended at 9am on Wednesday(16 hours). Then had my eating window 9am-8pm(11 hours). Then resumed my normal periods for the rest of the week.

You make your own eating window. If you eat at 18, then fast until 10… just adjust it like that. Going to bed hungry means you are fasting longer, but if that’s not what you are ready for or have set your mind to (longer fasts, like 23, 24) it will not be sustainable in the long run. I think it’s important that you make a decision of how long you want to fast so it lasts. Just adjust your eating times.

16:8 is my worst case scenario as i dont lose any weight that way as i tend to binge. With OMAD i can see results. As long as you take lower calories than normal you should be still able to lose some weight.
