Answer

The last I read, scientists have not found an upper limit to protein absorption in a single sitting. Your body will use the protein for different things, other than just muscle building. Here is a fairly recent breakdown of how they have found different kinds of proteins being absorbed in a single meal.

Answer

You can absorb all protein from a meal (assuming that we’re talking about animal protein since plant absorption another topic on its own).It just takes longer the more you exceed 30/40 grams, and is only relevant to how much it spikes MPS. This is why most protein powder servings are in that 25-35gram range.

(Below are some stuff that may be worth noting but isn’t directly tied to your question)

However, protein intake through the entire day seems far more important than the frequency. You’re not wasting protein, however I will say 80g seems excessive (if you’re having a normal 3/4 meals per day).

You only need 1gram per lbs (or 1.2g per kg for the consistent measurement system). After that and you begin to just have diminishing returns (no more beneficial).

Answer

It sure of the difference between male/female, however, most decent protein shakes give you 20-40g per serving, as does chicken breast. So you should be good

*im no expert. My ave daily protein intake is 1.8-3G/KG of lean body mass (depending on my phase)

Hope that helps

Answer

Yes, body can definitely absorb and use all the protein. All this confusion is because certain protein intake will increase muscle protein synthesis MPS(0.55g/kg body weight/meal), for someone like me it would be 40g/meal. So if I eat 50g I’m still gonna absorb it and use it, except my MPS is not gonna be stimulated any more than if I only ate 40g/meal.https://doi.org/10.1186/s12970-018-0215-1
