Chest pains when intermittent fasting?

For about the last 6 or so months, I’ve been skipping breakfast and lunch to lose weight. I usually do this between 1-4 times a week depending on my schedule. However recently I’ve noticed some chest pain while intermittent fasting. Is this actually linked to the fasting or is it a coincidence? Is there anything I can do while fasting to reduce/prevent them from happening?

Answer

I agree that it could be digestive/reflux pain but there’s a possibility your electrolytes (potassium specifically) could be imbalanced which can cause cardiac arrhythmia. Highly advise talking to your doctor just to be safe!
