Answer

Excited to be journeying into my first longer fast in a while! I had a huge meal Thursday night and had to drop my car off yesterday morning across town, so I made it into an adventure and ended up walking the half marathon distance back. I made sure to bring electrolytes with me and had so much fun! It also seemed to accelerate the fasting process for me - usually at about 24 hours I get pretty intense hunger and fatigue, but this time I felt great all day after the long walk with minimal hunger. Focusing on using this fast for spiritual, mental, and emotional clarity, as well as releasing some of the extra weight I put on from stress eating while teaching the last couple months of the school year. I’m looking forward to building a healthier relationship with myself in all areas this summer, and this fast feels like the perfect way to kick that off! I am going to rest, let my body heal, enjoy, have fun, and move when it feels good. Have a great day, ladies!
