Do I have to fast the same numbers of hours every day?

I have a brunch today at 11 but my normal fasting hours are between 12-8 so I have to eat a little earlier.

If I finish last night’s fast a little early (about 15 hours I/o 16), is that ok? Do I also have to make my cutoff tonight earlier?

And I think I’m going to have the same thing tomorrow where I’ll have to finish my fast early.

Thanks!

Answer

Time is flexible. I’ll sometimes adjust my fasting times to work around something. It’s helpful to know ahead so you can plan the day before.

It can make you feel a bit wobbly, to be honest. Your body does get used to the routine. But better to wobble than to fall.

In the future, just start your fast a little earlier and you can maintain your minimum fast (whatever you decided your minimum is) while breaking the the fast a little earlier in the day than normal.

Planning ahead for at least a couple of days allows you to change up when you start and end fasts in whatever way works for your life!
