If you have good variety in your diet, different fruits, veggies, dairy, and protein sources, you most likely don’t need a multivitamin. You’re just paying for expensive pee (we pee out the excess water-soluble vitamins that we consume). If you are not eating fatty fish twice a week, it’s usually recommended to take an omega-3 fish oil supplement. Some people may benefit from supplementing vitamin D if they live in an area with little sun exposure. And if you’re a woman, it could be beneficial to take iron if you are vegetarian/vegan or eat little meat. Other than that, you’re probably fine not taking a multivitamin.
