Does anyone else test blood ketones during their fast, and what doe your readings indicate to you?

I test when on longer fasts to see what my body is doing and how much I’m in ketosis and in autophagy. My normal routine is two 41-48h fasts per week with 17:7, 20:4, OMAD varied in the remaining days. Follow a keto diet and eat a healthy diet. I use a precision xtra monitor and usually test right before breaking the fast. Typically I will see results in the 2.5-3.0 on the IF days and 2.8-4.5 on the 41-48h days. My last two 41h fasts tested at 1.0 and 1.5 and I’m a little like WTF has happened. It’s been a stressful week with work and just wondering if cortisol could be throwing off my ketone levels that much. Been doing this a while and just confused as to what might be going on. Wondered if any others experience this??

I did a 48 hr fast recently (started in ketosis) and tested blood ketones during that period. I went from 1.8 to 6.0 in the 48 hours. The biggest jump came in the last 12 hours, going from approx 3.0 to 6.0.

Using KetomojoGK+ meter for all tests.

I’m sure you know that stress can cause blood sugar to rise, so that could definitely account for your results.
